Pretty, Girly Birthday Party Decor and Ideas
Yay! Our Fairy Ballerina Party post is here! I’m so excited to finally share the photos with everyone from Aubrielle’s four year old fun-filled-fairy-extravaganza! ha!
Really though, I had so many great pictures to choose from that it was hard to narrow them down. We had such a great time with Aubrielle’s favorite little friends and cousins. I had lots of help from my Mom and my two sister-in-laws as far as fairy treats and games were concerned. And as always, Cason was right there with me, entertaining my “crazy-decorating-ways” as I kept coming up with bigger, better fairy decor ideas and ambiance enhancers to fill up our party space. 🙂
In the end, it was ALL worth it, because everything turned out perfectly and Aubrielle was SO happy!

I had gathered some really beautiful items to display for Aubrielle’s birthday. First and foremost, the frames and flowers. The adorable 3 frames in this shot were purchased from one of our sponsors, Orange Blossom Shop. They have the cutest frames in all different sizes, shapes and colors. PERFECT for a girly party like this 🙂
The flowers were made by my amazingly talented sister-in-law Karlie. (excuse the old-school term) but she is the Mac-Daddy at flower arrangements!!! People kept asking if the flowers were real or not, because they looked SO perfect! I’m a HUGE fan of live flowers at parties. I think it really sets the tone at an event and a flower arrangement done the right way, really makes the rest of your decor, pop!
Flowers are NOT just for weddings, funerals and Valentines Day. Use some at your next party or get-together, they just add a special touch.
You can Find the tutorial for the Tulle Rosette Wreath in this post here. And purchase the large hanging paper flowers here.
I designed all of the sayings for our frames in Photoshop elements.
Our party was taking place during lunch, and Aubrielle knew JUST what she wanted to serve her little fiary-friends for her party. Ham & Cheese and Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches, potato chips, lemonade…and pickles. haha!
Yes, it’s a bit odd, but this girl LOVES pickles…so I HAD to work them in! I just found a tall apothecary jar, skewered some large pickles with kabob sticks and they were added to the decor too! Surprisingly, more then a few of the kids loved them!
When I got my custom round sticker labels from Brightside Prints I knew I wanted to do something cute on the lemonade glasses the “fairies” would be drinking from. So I used them on the fronts of these small canning jars, and topped them with a gray striped paper straw and cute flower cutout lids, I found at the Queen Bee Market at the Citrus Booth! You can buy them here.
Next was our “fairy sweets” end of the table.
We had candy,(sixlets, poofy pops, star lollipops, taffy and rock candy) pink doughnuts, flower shaped sugar cookies (thanks to Grandma), home-made flowering cake pops and fairy favors.
You can find a tutorial for our fairy favors in this post here.
A cake maker I am NOT, so I went ahead and let Paula Deen make her fabulous white chocolate coconut cake for me 🙂 Crazy enough, they sell it at Walmart in the frozen section where the bakery is. One word… YUM!
I found the extra tall candles at the Polka Dot Market.
I had Aubrielle and each of her fairy-friends sit in this cute yellow thrifted chair I found, in front of a polka dotted piece of fabric that I hung from the wall. It was the perfectly adorable, inexpensive backdrop for a lot of our photos. Anyone could do this on a wall in their home!
TIP: Try to pick a wall for your backdrop setup that has windows facing your subject. It makes for GREAT lighting when taking photos.
After our lunch we were ready for our Fairy activities. They included:
Find the Jewels
Fairy Freeze Tag
Fairy Ballerina Dancing
Next on our agenda… cake and presents!
Once presents are opened in this house… it’s usually a free-for-all. ha! There’s tissue paper flying, toys being ripped out of boxes, and kids screaming and laughing. The perfect ending to a perfect little party.
I’m totally thrilled that everything went so well,
and I’m happy to report that our Fairy Ballerina party… was a Success!
We sure do love our sweet, funny Aubrielle… she just makes this family complete. I couldn’t imagine a life without her beautiful smile, silly sense of humor and those big blue eyes.
Happy 4th Birthday, baby girl!
