The Black is Back! – Painted Front Door
I’ve been a long-time lover of a good, unique colored door. I even created a specific Pinterest board, just for them. My only problem though, is that I have a hard time committing to a really bright, loud, specific color, because I’d rather accent with those shades instead… hence the reason that I ALWAYS opt for the classic black, when it comes to our front entryway door 🙂
In our last house we hired Justin from Southwest painting to come and spray our door, and he did an amazing job. So naturally, we hired him and his awesome crew again, to fancy up our new houses door!
They tape off the space really well that they’re spraying, with a plastic tent-type structure, and then get to work.
I LOVE the sprayed door look, because it’s flawless and quick. Plus, it takes almost no time at all, once the taping off is done.
We still have yet to finish painting all the molding we put up around the entryway. UGGGGGH. I primed it, but holy cow, it was a beast, and I honestly just want someone to come in and spray the whole dang thing, but with the bids we’ve gotten, it costs an arm and a leg… so I’m back to the good ol’ DIY’ing.
Painting party anyone?
We’re working with a metalworks friend to build us a custom entryway table for this space that I’m really excited about!

Shelley! I live in your old home in magna. If you ever get rid of that entry table you used here I would love to buy it from you. I have had the hardest time finding the perfect one for that space!
