Wrapping Up My Holiday Shopping List – Great Friend Gift Ideas
Thanks to Pier 1 Imports for sponsoring this post & helping me get the last of my Holiday shopping done ๐
The months of September through December are ALWAYS crazy around my house. Most of it has to do with the fact that there are 3 major holidays smooshed up in there that I really like to decorate, photograph and blog about – which, between brainstorming, shopping, projects and posting, always takes longer than I think. But then in December alone, there’s work, church, family and friend holiday parties to attend… and oh! – let’s not forget about my birthday and anniversary too! YEOW! So yeah, it’s just a madhouse… literally.
For this reason, I always start our kids’ (and Cason’s) holiday shopping early, usually around the middle of September. Not because I’m “so good like that”, but because I HAVE to, or it won’t get done. And to be honest, this time around I actually did 98% of my shopping online too, so EVERYTHING was delivered straight to my door. It was the best shopping experience I’ve had YET! Can you say stress free and biggest time saver ever!?
So now that my kids, hubby and the few family members I had to buy for are all squared away, I can focus on a couple of fun friend gifts – which are actually my ultimate favorite to shop for, because they’re always items that I know I’d love to get, myself!
I’ve been a bit obsessed lately with funky, cool kitchen extras and adorable dishes.
Here’s the thing when shopping for close friends… you want to get something fun, beautiful, maybe even frivolous, but definitely somewhat useful too. Basically, you’re buying items that you know they ALWAYS want to grab and put into their carts when shopping, but never do, because they’re not “a necessity”.
Tell me I’m not right about this (?) LOL.
I literally did almost all of my friend gift shopping at Pier 1 Imports the other day, because they have a huge selection and range of flippin’ amazing items, at awesome prices. And because the friends I’m buying for are all so different, but tend to be really on-trend and like more eclectic, one-of-a-kind, cool things in their homes, I knew I’d be able to find a ton of great things in this one spot.
I was seriously pumped that I stayed on budget AND pretty much got everything I needed. Now all that’s left to do is finish wrapping things up, and get these gifts delivered before next week. whoohoo!
Are you all ready with your gifts yet? What people in your life are your favorites to buy for, and what are YOU wishing to receive this year? I love finding out what people want for Christmas, because it gives me lots of good ideas myself.
If you still have others on your list to buy for this next week, no worries. You can shop Pier 1 in-store, or online. You can even browse for items right from their website, and then just pick them up when you’re ready, from your nearest Pier 1 Imports location. I love that.
Pier 1 has also hooked me up with a $50 gift card to giveaway today.
Use it for a couple of friends, or count it as a gift from me to you this year ๐ … but if you do, promise me you’ll treat yourself to something you wouldn’t normally buy if you were spending your own money- deal!?

I love the owl measuring spoons/cups. Did those come from Pier 1? I might need to point my husband in that direction for a gift for me. ๐
