Whippy for Africa – Inspiring Change and Dreaming Big
Do you all remember my friend Becki from Whippy Cake!?
She’s the adorable, crazy-funny, beautiful face and mastermind behind all of me and my girls’ favorite hair accessories.
Well, Becki called me the other night and told me all about how this upcoming Summer she is headed to Swaziland with an organization called Heart for Africa. In Swaziland, nearly half the population become infected with HIV/AIDS, leaving hundreds of thousands of children orphaned each year. Heart for Africa is responsible for providing quality care, shelter, food, water, clothing, health care, and education to the orphaned and vulnerable children of Swaziland. This organization depends on volunteers like Becki to serve through short term trips in order to complete it’s mission and provide a future for these children.
To raise funds for Heart for Africa, Becki has come up with some really fun ways anyone can help, and I wanted everyone to know, because I think it’s an amazing cause. First, her company Whippy Cake has teamed up with Vintage Rose Wraps to offer two limited edition gift sets, with all proceeds going to Heart for Africa.
Dream Big
and
Inspire Change
I personally chose the Dream Big set, which is so fun and colorful! It comes with a Whippy Cake applique, Vintage Rose Wrap, and a set of custom “Whippy for Africa” earrings. The best part is, for each set sold, one Whippy Cake and one Vintage Rose Wrap will be given to a child in Africa!
The gift sets are discounted at $35 each and available here.
Later this week Becki will also be opening a Whippy for Africa etsy shop filled with one of a kind treasures to help raise funds, so make sure to watch for that too. If you just want to make a monetary donation for this cause instead, you can visit Whippy for Africa and do that as well.
Thanks for any support that you can offer to this cause. I know that Becki appreciates EVERY donation made, and is working her hardest to help make a change in lots of little ones lives.
