Raising Emotionally Healthy Children – Million Moms Challenge
…Turn off the radio, put down the cell phone and ask your kids questions! Open communication, even at age 5 is like a window of opportunity to shape and mold a child’s character and emotional health. When they understand better why things are the way they are, they’re less likely to question them later on. And in return, they tend to act more logically, rather then emotionally about certain situations.

Loved your article. I was amazed to learn how awesome your car ride conversations could be. I never would have guessed that's where a lot of my why and how questions would be answered a long with the laughs and tears. I honestly cherish every car ride that I get with my sweet boys ๐

That article was one of the most impressive parenting articles I have ever read. You struck a chord with me as I am a young mom to a highly emotional almost 3 year old girl. Thank you for reminding me that her temper tantrums – no matter how intense and frustrating – are sometimes rooted deeper than just what I see on the outside. I love how you said you have pictures of everyday things actually printed out and placed around your home – I'm going to do that!! Anyway, thanks again. Your article was fantastic.
