A Happy Weekend = No Work
Happy, happy Monday everyone, I hope that all of you had a fabulous Easter yesterday!
I just had to share these adorable Easter photos that my great friend Emilie took a few weekends ago with the girls, because they turned out so cute! Last year was our first year doing an Easter photoshoot with her. Our little chicks have grown up so much since then… and so have the bunnies!
๐
If you follow us at all on Instagram, then you know our weekend was packed full of activities since a lot of our family is in town for Spring break and the girls are out of school. We took in a girls night out to explore and enjoy some beautiful scenery in downtown Salt Lake City and even caught an awesome dance performance put on entirely by a local, prestigious children’s dance company.
We had a blast, and it’s always fun to hang out with our girl cousins who don’t live super close to us.
Cason is one of 6 siblings and between the older 4 who are married, we’ve already got 14 grandkids under the age of 8 years old, on his side alone!
(hence the Easter egg coloring OUTside, instead of IN).
Best idea ever…
…want to know what’s not?
Trying to heat up hard boiled eggs in the microwave.
Don’t ask… but just in case you’re wondering, they blow up.
whoops. So much for trying to keep all the mess contained.
All you need to know, is that no children were involved in this activity… only adults.
I guess we never really grow up, eh?
MY parents have 8 grandkids under the age of 8 on their side, and we were able to spend some time with a few of those cousins this weekend too!… so between all of these crazy, cute kiddos, let’s just say that it’s been a whirlwind of non-stop F.U.N!
I had planned on getting a Spring decor post all ready for you, bright and early this Monday morning… but guess what? I didn’t do a dang thing all weekend that involved work. We launched all responsibilities right out the window, slept over at my Mom’s house, enjoyed yummy food, happy faces, a few really great spiritual uplifting moments and even a small amount of much needed quiet time.
Exactly what we needed.
So, for now, I’ll just have to leave you with this till tomorrow. A little sneak peek at what you can look forward to.
๐
Easter may have come and gone faster than we could say “hippity-hop”, but now that we’ve had 4 consecutive sunny, warm days in a row… it’s definitely time for some serious Spring decor around here.
Happy Monday!

Your pictures are beautiful! It must be so nice for the little ones to have so many cousins their age. Although I have four brothers, I am the only one with a child yet and once the others will start, the cousins will be so many years apart – sometimes I am sorry for my daughter. ๐
I love to see pictures of families with so many children.

Sounds like you had a great weekend! I so wish my daughter had lots of cousins… my husband and I are both the oldest children, and only have 3 siblings between us. It looks like our kids will be cousin-less for quite awhile, and as someone who grew up with many cousins, that makes me sad!

Oh I laughed at that egg picture.
My mom almost melted a pot by leaving an egg on to boil, then forgetting about it for about 10 hours.
Not once, but twice!
(oh, and I microwave my boiled eggs all the time. But you have to peel them first, and I smush mine too, and cover them with a paper towel just in case. usually it all works out with no explosions!)

Very cute pictures. Love the egg coloring outside idea. Hope it didn't take too long to clean out the microwave. LOL Oh well, now you know right. Heehehehehe.

I have never ever decorated eggs – seems it never caught on in my family (or country – I'm not sure I know many people who've done it in their childhoos here in Australia!). Great that it's been warm enough to do the painting outside.
