You know how December is SUPER busy, and you always say to yourself… “Self, if you just get through December, then January will be a breeze!”… Well, I’m thinking that February is the new January. ha!
I can’t believe how busy and fun January has already been, and it’s not stopping anytime soon! Starting tonight I’ll be headed to the Altitude Design Summit, right here in my own backyard! If you haven’t heard of Alt Summit, basically it’s a social media conference that is centralized around lifestyle, food and amazing fashion blogs. Here’s a little more about what you’ll find at Alt:
We’ve created a place where design and lifestyle bloggers in all their forms— foodies, photographers, travelers, fashionistas, interior designers, product placers, adventurers — come together, share ideas and connect with marketers. There will be discussions on how to grow your site, how to fund your site, how to keep your site above the fray. You’ll find panels on blogging etiquette and blogging ethics. People will share good advice for creative entrepreneurs. Friends will be made. Contact books will be filled. ~Alt
I have to admit that this is my very FIRST year attending Alt and I couldn’t be more excited! Not only do I get to attend, but I’m also going to be leading a round-table discussion with my good friend Jen on Friday that is titled: Using Facebook as an Effective Tool to Connect. Something that we both feel very passionate about!
I also have to say that I’m beyond thrilled to finally meet some of these blogging icons in the social media industry. I mean come on, just check out this speaker line-up…VERY exiting! And just as equally exciting, are the top-notch companies and brands that will be sponsoring Alt this year. From HGTV and Sherwin Willliams to HP and Rue La La!
I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with the fabulous people from Rue La La and have been able to purchase some really amazing items from their site.
Definitely my favorite so far has been this yellow leather Linea Pelle bag that I’ve been toting around on my shoulder this past weekend. The quality is impeccable and I’m also just the kind of girl who can’t say ‘no’ to a good zebra stripe lining 🙂
…okay let’s get real, cute bags in bright fun colors are my personal kryptonite
Originally these totes can be super pricey, but I got mine at more then 50% off retail, when Rue la la ran their sale. The same goes for this adorable chunky bracelet and these oh-so-fabulously-dramatic chandelier earrings I ordered. (still trying to decide if I can pull them off) ha!
Only a fraction of the price from what you normally pay for high end name-brand products. I don’t claim to be a fashionista or really even know THAT much about the latest trends in clothing or jewelry, but I think that’s what I like about Rue la la the most. Everything they carry, from clothing fashion to home fashion products is always on trend!
So my question now is… Do you Rue!?!? If not, then here’s a little more about why you should
